Your child's taste buds will mature over the years so you won't have to worry about him eating like that when he's an adult. What I think you should do though, is to quit buying junk food. When you do start with something you know almost everyone likes. Maybe a juicy fruit, or anything else that most people like and is healthy. Whatever you do don't try to give him vegetables. I didn't acquire a taste for vegetables until I was about 10.

Take away the chips and cookies. Cook something healthy, so what if your kids dont like it, your the dam parent, so PARENT! Trust me they will eat it when they get hungry. They will have no choice if there is nothing else. There have been absolutely no documented cases of children starving to death with food in front of them. They will learn to like it.

Ummm try getting up and making him/her regular food. Put away the cookies and chips. They will eat what you cook if they're hungry enough, and if they're not hungry than, than give them something healthy when they do get hungry.

Don't buy chips and cookies... Buy carrots, apples oranges, celery and penutbutter, broccoli and ranch, peaches, pears... No junk, your child will eat it when the child gets hungry.
