Like when we are sitting on chair in the office or watching TV or movie at home...or in the garden having sunbath. Is there any move which could burn our calories more than sitting like idle. Suppose we can not get up and we have to sit....

Try to flex your muscles, starting with your toes, feet legs and thighs, then relax and flex again. Do this 2 or 3 times, then the same with your arms and shoulders, clench your fists and flex your arm muscles 2 or 3 times then relax. Finally, sit with your legs straight out in front of you and lift your feet about a foot off the ground and hold the position for 5 seconds and SLOWLY relax to the ground again.

Well, you burn up calories all the time, even when you sleep. The key is not to be eating, so when you're watching T.V. or sunbathing, don't munch on anything! If you need to munch, make sure it is something veggie - a salad, or fruit. If you need something more filling, try unsalted nuts (unless you are allergic to them.) Even when you are relaxing, you can work out. If you get a pair of dumbells, for example, and hold them as you perform normal movements, there is nothing to stop you from burning extra calories just from reaching for your remote control. At the office, try some ankle weights. Do lots of leg exercises under the desk! Use them also for when you move. There are lots of other and more gentle exercises to do, such as stretching each part of your body in turn , or rolling and rotaring other parts.
It will never compare to be wholly active. It will never give you the benefits that walking, running, cycling or swimming can. But if you have to stay in a chair, then it will help.

I read somewhere that you should sit up bolt straight everyday starting at a 40 seconds then increasing as you go on every day after a while you can sit straight for hours and it's ment to do your back a power of good. You can also get a portable bycicle which is about the size of a hat all you do is sit there and cycle it's ment to stregnthen you legs it's 12.99 pounds in argos so thats a bargain really it sucks to the floor so it doesnt slip. Hope I helped, you could also get one of them machines that pump your muscles they are great apparently. they're expensive though!! Cheers!!!

People who fidget a lot can burn calories without moving around. You can do isometric exercises while sitting in a chair. The idea is to expend the maximum energy by working your muscles against themselves and any Resistance handy eg your chair sides, parts of your desk etc

1. Do not eat
2. There are special things for your hands which you have to fist with your hands. Buy one of this. It will also help you to increase your hand power, when you shake somebody's hand ;)
3. Strain your abs every 20 min. for 10-15 seconds
4. Do not complicate the things, if it is possible every hour get up and do some squats or wringing. It is very easy to do, just do it!

Good luck!

get up and do something.

jeez, everyone wants some magical miracle weight loss answer.

but as far as a real answer:

they make things that are like little bicycle pedals, but with adjustable resistance. you could use one of those while sitting. or those gripper/hand exerciser things that you just squeeze? if you get an adjustable one, you can work your entire forearm by setting it high. or i guess you could even use of those thigh-master type things between your knees.

also, try using a chair without wheels. forcing yourself to get up often instead of rolling around would add up, i guess.

i read in hens health mag that when your at home its best for burning calories if you sit on the floor rather than a chair because you fidget and move around if your not 100% comfortable

stop eating is a good one.
or acctually try clenching you muscles for 30 second then wait for 10 minutes and do it again. apparently that releases some toxins and reduces selilite..... it's a start at least.
