Ok...you should not be the one calling the police. She should call the police herself. If you call the police all she has to do is deny it. You need to have a long talk with her about whether she is willing to go through with it. Most likely she will be removed from the home. This is a big deal. When she calls make sure she still has bruises as they will take many pictures. Also, make sure she calls 911 as they are forced to come to the scene.

How old is your girlfriend? She should be able to contact child protective services herself. The only problem with that is that she will probably be removed from the home while they conduct an investigation. If she is close to 18, she might as well tough it out and pack her bags when she is old enough and never go back there.

Well don't kill him. Tell her to talk to a counselor. Is there anyone she can go to you--or you both can go to that can help her? A cop? If she turns him in does she have somewhere to go?? Be careful!! I know it is really hard to not physically do anything, but obviously the guy is a dumb fool or he wouldn't do that to his daughter - so you should outsmart him by taking legal action.

You should call Social Services. This is a serious situation. Abuse can be fatal, she could be seriously hurt or killed. If you love her you should step in and do the right thing

Better cool down before you do something rash. How old is she? Old enough to move out? If not, maybe you could talk her into moving in with another relative until she is. Sounds serious, but you gotta stay clear or he's gonna be hitt'n you next.

Call the police. File a report. Don't have her do it because she won't. Tell them you are concerned for her safety. Don't take matters into your own hands, nothing but bad will come of that.

I have been there, you don't want to get locked up and she may leavr you if you do something. She needs to report it and move out. I am no longer with her because of her dad, I wish I would of knew the out come so I would have beat his *** then instead of getting in his face and pushing him. AHHHHH

no need for you to go to prison.
encourage her to press charges. go with her to the police station. she will need all the moral support she can get.
does he hit her mom too? her siblings, if she has any? then they need help too.
it will be difficult. there will be denials. there will be yelling, screaming, and more violence. but in the end, the truth is out there. your gf will be empowered by standing up for herself. and hopefully, her father can get the help he needs.

I assume that this is abuse and not just discipline we are talking about. If it is discipline you need to stay out of it.
A phone call to child protective services might be in order if she is under 18 years old. If she is over 18 she needs to move and stay away from him.
