i think its really sweet that you'd like to take your bestfriend out on a date. I can understand why some people might advise againist it - they might say it will ruin the friendship etc but if its just a date there is absolutely no problem with it (as long as your not planning on declaring your undying love - that would be way too full on) but a date sounds like a great idea!

Im a 23 year old female and i was a 15 year old chick not so long ago so hopefully i can give you some helpful advice.

ok, if your looking for an idea on how to ask her.... let it come naturally. If its too rehearsed, and you've been analysising it for days, your more likely to be way too nervous so just try and act cool about the whole situation.

If you think there is a chance she may not be interested (which is highly unlikely seeings as tho she likes you enough to be your bestfriend already!) just make it seem as tho its just a casual date

for example, you could start up a conversation about a new movie that's out and ask if she'd like to go see it wit you on the weekend

or if movies aren't your thing, you could say something along the lines of, "Im really lucky to have someone like you who has been such a great friend over the past few years, i'd really like to take you out for dinner sometime.... you know, just to say thanx and show you how much i appreiciate having you as a friend."

keep it cool and casual and you'll be fine! whatever happens after that (whether you turn into boyfriend / girlfriend or just continue being good friends) always make sure she knows how much you apprieciate spending time wit her!

Good luck

Aww. Me and my bf are 15 and have been best friends for years also. If you think that you two can still be friends even if you break up, go for it. When you ask her out, you may wanna kind of joke around first. That way if she doesn't feel the same way, you can always lean back on the 'I was only kidding' thing. Kind of immature, but it's like a safety net. Good luck!
