i was walking home from town today feeling really ill, when a black man who looked about 29 stopped me and told me i was pretty, i was terrified as i was on my own and felt like i was going to pass out, i began looking around to see if i could get help and saw some people walking towards me, the man noticed them too and said, do you mind if i ask how old you are, i said yes because i'm only 15 and didn't really want him to know that i was so young. I think he could tell i was uncomfortable talking to him so he said do you want me to talk you? i said no.. i know that sounds a bit rude but it was the truth, i'm going to tell my mum what happend, i was just wondering if i should tell anyone else, like the police or something... cos it's not normal for man in his late 20's to tell a 15 year old girl he doesn't know that she's pretty, right? i don't know.. am i over reacting?

i've told a few of my friends what happend, and 1 of them said it happend 2 her recently too... thinking it's probably the same person, they're 15 too. This guy seems to be making a habit of talking to young girls....

Make sure you tell your parents. It is unusual and they should probably contact the police to let them know what happened. If no harm was intended then great but if the individual intended to harm you then he may try again and the police should be on the alert.

If you are good looking then surely this is a compliment. I don't think it was appropriate for him to stop you in the street and would advise you to walk this route again with an adult following close by, in case he is a stalker.

Just to be on the safe side I would report it I don't think grown men have any business trying to talk to young girls like that.

It's good to tell your mum or to your best friend, but to the police I don't think so, because the men didn't do anything to you, no?

Wow, you got hit on by an adult...let's go call the cops. Jesus, calm the **** down...at least he asked if you even wanted to talk to him instead of just going on and on.
