Perhaps to symbolize their faith. Jesus the Christ was not the only sacrificed "God".
BTW.....Your comment directed towards the Christians probably makes them sigh with relief that you don't claim to be one of them. Show a bit of respect, not only for others but yourself as well.

Blessings )O(

Actually you are showing your retardation as you call it, in that you call the cross a Christian symbol. It is really a pagan symbol if you would care to look it up in the encyclopedia and stands for the pagen god Tamuz. So why would a Christian wear one is a better question. A non Christian would be the likely candidate for wearing one for the paganism it stands for.

Some people just like to wear crosses, or perhaps non-Christians who are fans of the letter "T" think that's what it is instead. hehehehe Though some crosses don't really resemble THE cross, and I don't think most ppl who wear those are trying to express their faith in anything. But I'm not a Christian and I don't wear any kind of cross either. So you're not the only one.

Either you are a Christian and showing off your ignorance or lack of understanding. Or you are a Non-Christian and sincere about this question. I refer to the bible where the pharasee prayed on the street corners to be seen, they just wanted to show how religious they was to others. When God is all knowing and all seeing. He even knows whats in your heart, without praying outloud or being seen. They prayed to make others see them if they are Christians or not only God knows. We pray and do other religious acts because God ask us to, As a Christian I don't wear a cross because God and I Know my heart. Why others wear crosses thats their perogative, it doesn't make them a Christian.

The cross pre-dates Christianity.

It's a pagan symbol that was taken by the church.

Just like Christmas is the winter solstice, Easter is the spring equinox, etc...
