I haven't seen my boyfriend all summer due to our jobs, and finally we're going back to college tomorrow, first time in 3.5 months! All summer it's been good-- hour-long conversations everyday and sweet emails... etc. I really commend him for that because communication isn't his strength and he's managed it really well this summer. But this past week, it almost seems like we've run out of gas, and are just panting toward our meeting tomorrow. We didn't talk about much while on the phone, and from both sides just seemed ready to hang up and talk later in person... I am very excited about seeing him, and I'm sure I expressed it in my speech... He just sounds... bored almost? I'm pretty sure he's excited too, but why does it seem like he's tapering off with these short conversations as our reunion nears?

Nervous about the reunion I would say. Being apart like you have been, people change. Since everything else is fine though, I could only believe it is a bad case of the jitters.

I have to admit that I was once on the giving side to the same thing you are going through. He was always calling me, and it was getting closer to the date we were supposed to see each other again. Truth of the matter was I got tired of him. I was tired of waiting on him to make a move that could better us, so I found someone who would and I had no time for him anymore. I tried to tell him, and he couldn't feel me. I tried to shorten the convos, tell him we need to see others, all of that. he still came up and got his feelings hurt when he seen me with my new "friend". he got the picture then.

I felt bad- but he wouldn't listen or catch hints until he saw it for himself.

But maybe your reunion will be great- maybe everything is fine and he is just tired of waiting to see you- i say ask him and find out. Whatever the case may be- just be ready to have a nice long heart to heart convo with him!
