US1$ = 0.5248 GBP
1 GB pound = 1.9053 US$

245 GBP = US$466.8107

BUT remember that you will almost always pay a commission and some places (banks, airport currency exchanges) use different rates.

At the exchange rate of 1 GB pound = 1.9053 USD

245 GBP = US$466.8107

I travel internationally a lot - I always get the best exchange with the smallest fees using my ATM card in the host country.
