With all the talk of the illegal alien issue; what is your solution?

I always see and hear people complain and say SOMETHING should be done but not many say what... Opinions?

I'd like answers from all culture groups if possible...

If you thumbed down this question; you really have a problem... I have expressed no side in this debate and ignoring the issue won't help!!!

As long as people are not criminals i dont see why there is a problem with anyone coming to this country, but i think the fastest way to end illegal immigration would be to go after these greedy business owners who are the one providing work for these illegals

I have a friend that offered this simplistic solution; "it's like a sinking ship-first thing you do is plug the hole, second thing you do is bail out the water." Policy makers on this seem to agree; The wall and the National Guard operations along the border are making headway. Also, INS officers are now taking back for deportation aliens captured by local law enforcement officers if there are two or more. (Basically, if a cop stops a car (or enters a house or whatever) with suspected illegal aliens, there is a minimum number required before INS will respond to take them into custody and deport them).
This is a huge reversal in policy from 1994, when a cop was required to have 8 (detained suspected illegal immigrants) before INS would even come out. Then in 1997 or so, it went up to 16. INS is stationing more local case officers to handle this new policy.
It's not quite this simple and there's a lot of weird politics on this issue, but for the time being illegal immigrant numbers seem to be decreasing.

I’ve got two possible solutions.. One serious, one not so serious, you decide which is which. (What everyone seems to be forgetting is that the word "illegals" doesn't mean any particular nationality)

Solution 1:
We set up observation posts along the border and count the number of people crossing illegally, then we ship the same number of people from our prison populations down the Mexico border, we then give them tips and maps to help them make it south. We also offer prizes to those prisoners who makes it across into Mexico and down to say Cancun, or the southern Mexican border. We also radio tag the criminals so they cant just turn around and come back.
This way we allow the hard working immigrants to stay, but we deport people who do not contribute and are just a drain on our society.
And if Mexico has a problem with this arrangement they can build a wall.



Solution 2: Six easy steps
And remember the word "illegals" doesn't mean any particular nationality or race. In this country, we have illegals from China, Russia, Cambodia, Guatemala, etc...

First a big fence goes up on both borders with armed patrols.

Second, Anyone caught here illegally will be instantly deported and all assets confiscated and auctioned to help pay for the fence, guards and all the bills (i.e. medical) that illegals have run up, and you will be barred from enter this country legally for 5 years after 1 offence and permanently after 2 offenses.

Third, any company or person caught employing an illegal will face heavy fines and/or imprisonment. The same applies to landlords renting to illegals, or anyone else caught “aiding and abetting” them

Fourth, any local or state agency/government that refused to take part in enforcing these rules will lose any federal money they are receiving and/or be fined.

Fifth English will be declared the official language and all government related business (including schools) must be done in English.

Sixth we will have a guest (short term) worker program, but anyone staying past their allotted time will face the consequences mentioned above. Also, any child born here of guest workers or illegal immigrants will have the same status as their parents and not be instant American Citizens.

1. Put a bounty on the heads of any illegal that is trying to cross the border illegally, dead or alive.
2. Put sharp shooters along the border and shoot any illegals that dare to cross into US space.
3. Those that are here now, deport and/or put in prisons and make them earn their keep or don't eat.
4. Put some kind of electronic device that cannot be taken off our out on those that were here and are deported so if they try to come back in they will be detected and throw them in prison with the option that if they don't want to work their way through, they just don't eat. If they want to starve, let them. Less to have to feed that way.
5. Put up a tall fence with high voltage electric wiring going through so if they touch it, they fry.
6. Enforce the laws that are alredy on the books and stop pampering those that break our laws. They have no rights, they are not citizens of this country. Change the laws that say if they have a kid in this country they are automatic citizens. If their parents are citizens fine, but if they are not, the babies should not be.

People, it does not matter what you propose. Unless our stupid government is ready to shoot to kill anyone that enters our borders, this problem can not be solved. Do you know how many years and billions of tax dollars has gone into the deporting these people? They just turn around and are back in 2 to 3 days, its a waste of time and money like the war on drugs and the war in Iraq!! Wake up America, your own president is not willing to make the order of shoot to kill because that could cost him in the long run. So he sends troops to "upkeep" the border, no enforcement ability, but to call on the border patrol when they see them, you should be outraged, but no, you figure, it doesn't affect me. Just wait another 20 years, time is ticking and you have an obligation to vote these morons out of office.

Each and every state of the several sates of the USA must pass severe penalties and pass into law that English is the official language just as congress did more than 200 years ago. Each state should implement a militia for rounding up aliens for deportation and also do constitutional arrest of treasonist business who hire lawless invaders.

I complain ... talk shi**et and spread my view online, in class, at work and when I'm out. It's my pick of topic to converse on. On top of that I VOTE. Makes a difference. Sooner or later, the polls will be counted and if it goes against what I'm saying, the underground leaders will take care of it and I support it all the way. GO HOME illegals.

This solution would never work but what you do is while they are doing their marching you detain all of them and make them prove to you that they are legal.

Actually I think that if you are caught in the country illegally you get deported and then you pay for it. If you are caught in the country again then you would have no chance to ever be here legally. Border protection needs to be stepped up by building a fifteen foot tall five foot wide concrete fence across the whole border and every 100 yards is a guard tower.

closing the boarders will not work. but better people working the boarders will, i think the chinese had it right with the big wall they have. the thing that gets me is most of the illegals that come here pay big money to get on a boat or truck to sneek in, when all they had to do is buy a plane ticket and passport and we would have let tem in!!!

again I say--First close the borders, fences , national guard, electronics etc...

second make entry into this country a felony,

third start fining (heavily) all businesses that hire illegals...to make it not worth their while...when there are no illegal jobs to be had, through attrition with the jobs drying up , they will no choice but to wander back over the border, with total family intact...no tearing apart families and didn't cost us a penny..

fourth...no anchor babies..you have to be a child of legal resident to become a citizen
fifth- no social services (excluding medical emergencies)
if you are illegal, including schooling for you kids

sixth -fix SSN registering program so will know immediately if a number is being used twice or is invalid

seventh- anyone caught selling or having false documents.felony and prison time....

eight- guest worker program ...that is housed in MEXICO..where Mexican laborers register and American companies register to hire them ...they are given a temporary ,limited visa....a portion of their wage is held until after their work term is finished and then they collect remainder of their wages in Mexico, once they are back over the border

nine- secure voter registration...citizens only--and prove it--that way the spineless politicians would be less afraid of the power of the illegals voting and not voting for them

there are others but you get my point...this is fixable if the will was there
