one of my frends son is autistic but he is the most smartest person i will ever know. he is 9 and im 13 and he knows WWWWWAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY more than me. if you tell him somethin once he will memorize it and keep tellin you about it. my mom has a keloid on her chest. he asked her how she got it and she said that she burned it in the stove. now every time he sees the scar he tells her how she got. he knows what a tricylinder is. WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?! but as him being autistic he doesnt like loud noises. he doesnt like to hear a baby scream, he puts hear pieces in his ears when fireworks are goin, and he likes to sit alone. but hey i think autistic people are great.

As a rule I don't like to click links on this site but I know about autism. My nephew has a mild form and his behavior confused everyone for awhile. We need more education on shows like sesame street or kiddie movies. It's the fasted way to get info to parents and to the child suffering from this frightening condition.

Thank you! I did not go to your link because I work with children with autism. Most people don't understand the mind of an autistic child not do they care to. I can't begin to tell you the stares we get when we take our children into the community. I am just so honored to be there to see the accomplishments of these marvelous children!

I have a friend with an autistic foster child, and the looks she gets are unbelievable. Once we were at a middle school play, and she was asking lots of questions(as autistic children do) and these parents turned around and glared at my friend. She looked them straight in the eye and said,"She's autistic, she doesn't know better." They stopped looking. I thought it was great that she stepped up and made the people look bad. Everyone thinks they can raise someone else's child better that their parents. It's always easier looking from the outside in.

That was a powerful clip, some people do not comprehend what parents go through and the love and the strength and dedication that parents have for their children.

It's very sad, very difficult. No parent should have to endure that.
