Be soooo thankful that they love you enough to "talk" to you. My little pom and actually talk to me, she is so cute, she moans and groans and I moan and grone back to her, we have a real conversation. But I know she loves me and that to is equal. I have 3 little poms but Midnight Lace is the only one who talks. My advice is to love them

Do you squeak when your husband plays with you ?
Its just their way of letitng you know they are enjoying themselves
I can only believe you have no understanding of dogs in any shape or form ,and you really should'nt have animals in the first place if you only thought is to smack them into obedience
All you will achieve in that is to end up with Dogs that are totally nervous and also that will become vicious in the end as they will one day turn on you for your voilence towards them
For god sake they are dogs what do you want them to do act like children and understand you when you say shut up stop squeaking
Try interacting with them and if you cant stand the sqeaking then try to distract them by offering a treat when you have their attention
You must realise that in all situations violence only beggets violence smacking any animal is NOT the way to gain thier respect or affection
If you really find you cannot stand the squeaking then do the Dogs a favour find them a new home where someone will care for them squeaking and all as you obviously dont know how to treat an animal if they were destroying your furniture you still would'nt be right to react by hitting them there is no reason or excuse to ever hit a dog no matter what you really should take a long look at yourself and ask do I know enough about animals to actually own one

If your husband is over-exciting the dogs and encouraging them to squeak then you don't like it when they squeak for attention I suggest you and your husband sort yourselves out.

There is no reason and no justification for you smacking them - I presume they are small as most small dogs can be yappy. Did you not know this before you got your dogs?

Being a bit calmer and more aware of your dogs needs would help.

Why don't you get a dog trainer to come to your house?

He or she could see in an instant how you and your husband are mismanaging your dogs and could put you right.

Hi.

Well I must say this is a new one on me, I have never heard of anyone moaning about their dogs squeaking.

First of all if you are even thinking about hitting your dogs for this then you shouldn't have dogs at all.

They are just trying to talk to you.

Would you hit a baby if it was crying to let you know it was hungry or its nappy needed changing or anything else that it needed.???

If you answer No to this then my question to you would be what is the difference.

All your dogs are letting you know is that they are happy when they are playing, because unlike us they can't burst into laughter so they have to let us know another way.

Re to the food hasn't your husband ever said to you something like, I'm starving love make me a sandwich or do something to eat so again dogs cant tell you with words so they Squeak as you put it to let you know they are hungry.

And re to them squeaking when they want to go out would you rather they didn't let you know and done there business on your carpet.

The dogs don't have a problem but clearly you do so I think that your best plan of action here is if it makes you feel like hitting them, re-home them to someone who will understand that they are just trying to communicate with them.

Of course on the other hand you could learn to communicate with them too.

I have 3 pups and they all talk to me for all sorts of reasons, when they want me to play ball with them, when their food bowl is empty or if they have drunk all the water, if they want to go out, they do it for all sorts of reasons, and if my husband plays the mouth organ they howl to it which is their way of singing but they are happy and very understood dogs.

So maybe as you already know why they are doing it you should accept that they are hungry or playing or that they want to go out as they don't want to go to the toilet on your floor and see these as good reasons for them squeaking at you.

Failing this if you still feel like you want to hit them for trying to talk to you then I would suggest that maybe it is you who have the problem and that you should go and see your doctor.

Regards.

Do you mean squeak?
It sounds cute. Maybe you just don't like dogs. Are you possibly a bit jealous of them?

When they do this turn your back on them and ignore them completely until they stop. Then immediately reward them with lots of attention. Get your husband to ignore them the minute they start sweeking when he is playing with them. they will soon learn not to do it.

Some dogs do squeak (instead of a bark). It all depends on the type of dog you have. Please DON'T smack your dogs, as they are just trying to communicate with you.

Have a lovely rest of the day.

they squeek? they are crying for what they want. abuse doesnt solve anything and can cause the dog to become nasty and attack you. try taking to the vet maybe theres a reason they are crying besides that... or could be there way of talking to you.

Get a dictionary - It sounds cute if what you are trying to say is that they squeak. Apparently you don't have children. They don't just squeak they scream.
