Fine, you bossy little thing. I spent forty five minutes with an Old lady who was confused, yesterday. What a struggle to get it right for Her, where the hell were Her care takers? Still, I was able to get Her across the street to Her appointment at the Doctors. She's not in my family; I don't know Her; She just latched onto me because I was there. What do you do, I wasn't going to leave Her crying in the street. Big pain though, I've work that needed tending to; not selling newspapers either; something that was really important. People need people, we put aside the moment for them; but the work still has to get done or my people don't eat. So Hurray for good deeds, but folk have to look out for their own! That's a good deed too, even when it's your family. I hope this pleases you, Bossy!

Aboslutely I would do the good deeds, whenever possible.
I firmly believe in random acts of kindness, and practice them whenever opportunity provides itself.

Hmm, nothing big yesterday, I let a lady who was waiting in line in front of me and left the line to look at something get back into her place for the available cashier, she seemed surprised, happy, and grateful. I can't remember if I did anything the day before that. But I try, and do my best to keep an open eye and an open heart.

Sometimes even the tiniest things can make a difference in a person's day, sometimes even just a smile or a kind word. I believe in something I like to call the "Ripple" effect, that what we do spreads out from us, and grows, for good or ill.

That all depends because I can't honestly remember the last time anyone did a good deed for me, yet I've always gone out of my way to help others.

Sure, I would do them. Nothing feels better than being able to help someone else. Even something as simple as a smile can really make a difference in someone's day.

I try to do small good deeds every day. Yesterday, I complimented a waitress on her earrings, and engaged her in a discussion on jewelry making. Today I made someone laugh, and consoled a friend going through divorce. I will write an e-mail tonight to work on my development project in Central America. Yesterday, I told my boyfriend I loved him, despite the fact he was acting like a jerk. Tonight, I aplogized to him for something I said while in a bad mood. I will fall asleep to drums tonight to send a prayer for a little girl whose family is on trial with DSS. I brought flowers from my garden in to a friend at work who just put his parents in a nursing home. I covered for my employee and worked late tonight so he could have a well-earned long weekend. I did my finances last night and donated to a worthwhile charity. I solved someone's problem at work yesterday.

My boyfriend brought me a beautiful picture he took, and framed it for me. My uncle is financially helping me fly across the country to visit my cousin. My mom solicited a jewelry order for me. My roommate is a putz but there's not much I can do about that! My boss treated me to lunch today. A woman at work brought me a magazine she thought I could publish an article in about my project in Guatemala. My administrative assistant defended my decisions for an ethics committee in a conversation yesterday. Today, the leader of a project that has tripled my workload over the past 3 months publicly apologized to me for poor planning and lack of foresight on his part.

The point is this- we can see the world one of two ways: islands of safety in a sea of danger, or places of hostility in a gentle world. Don't believe everything the media tells you. We ahve chances every day to either accept or reject love in our lives. Most of us do not remember how to accept it.
