hair goes grey because the follicles run out of pigment. The age in which this happens depends on the genes that you inherit. I am not sure why it starts on the sides for most ppl, I would be interested to know that, too :-)

As you increase in age, you stop producing melanin which gives hair it's colour, the hair also becomes dryer and coarser. Mother Natures little trick is to make your hair grey at the front first, to enable people to judge how old you are, cruel but true.

Men usually have this problem but this does not go for women, they grey where the lower head is. I do not know why it starts at the edges, different people grey differently.

The pigment in your hair starts to die as you age. It doesn't necessarily start at the sides of the head. Some it starts on top of the head.

usually when we age yes, but there are kids of 13 who start going grey too and tends to run in families.

DONT SLEEP ON THE SIDE THAT IS GREY THE HAIR BECOMES WEEK AND DROWNS IN SWET SO SLEEP ON THE OTHER SIDE TRY SWAPING SIDES EACH NIGHT AND WHO KNOWS WITHIN A MONTH YOUR HAIR MAYBE GO BACK TO ITS NORMAL COLOUR.

Hair loses it's pigment as we age. It's actually white hair if you look closely. Skin becomes ashen and loses some pigment as you age too.
