Do you wear a lot of blue shirts? If so, I guess that would be why. I really can't think of another reason. I only get fluff in my belly button when I wear new sweatshirts.

The scientific opinion is that the bacteria in in the belly button can have a mild bleaching effect on natural fibres, this would give an overall grey blue appearence.
It is doesn't to have the same effect on manmade fibres (why is beyond me though).

Anna,
I think only people with Hairy Belly's get blue fluff. errrrrrrrrm unless they don't wash for years and years, and then its a smelly mess of dead skin Uriah and stale sebum with dead hairs. hmmmmmmmmmmm I must wash on a more regular basis.

because all lint is usually blue. When you wash and dry your clothes look in the lint trap and its usually blue. This is the stuff that gets on your clothes and gets attached into your belly button.

mine matches the coluor of clothes I wear that day. You must either wear a lot of blue, or sleep on blue sheets.

you only get it when you have an inverted belly button. I though it's due to what colour clothes you wear

proper sanitation of the navel is needed @this time-perspiration causes lint build up just like a dryer lint trap-wash rag and a little soap may curb this issue for you.
