It depends do you own the property do you permanently reside there and this person does not, where you physically thrown out of the house or just forced by intimidation, it depends on alot of factors. If anyone touches you , you have the right to defend yourself to a certain extent by law. You are allowed to disarm the threat but as soon as that is accomplished by law you are supposed to stop. You need to include more details about your situation, but if you own the house you can most certainly go back with the police and get that person out and put a restraining order on them, or if you permanently reside and pay bills there you can do the same. Do not go back and assault the person though that is illegal.

Yes and no. Need more details.

In response to Infohog above: a lawyer is more likely to be of assistance in this matter. Jesus may have been a good carpenter, but he wasn't really up on modern American law...

What details? What happened? What were the circumstances under which you were forcibly removed from the property? Whose property? How removed? What is your relation to the property? Basically: who, what, where, when, why, and how, with emphasis on the who, what, why and how...

Can't say what I would do absent some more information. Are you, for example, Palastinian? Israeli? Tibetian? Native American? Cambodian? Do you refer to a National, State, or Local Government? Are you in a war zone or hurricaine damaged part of the American South?

It's simple about what details we need. Tell us what the **** happened, at least a summary. If you were evicted by the sherriff under legal orders that is one thing. If you were tossed out by the owner/renter after you lived with them for a while, and made them miserable, that is another. If you were the renter, rent was paid, landlord was happy with you, and people came and forcibly tossed you out and moved in, that is still another. If you are a teenager using drugs, and your parents went to Tough Love and tossed your stuff on the front steps after you refused to follow sane rules of behavior, that is still another.

I don't see how hard it is to understand what we mean by details.

Actually, your question has the profile of a bogus question. A real question would have told the story involved. That is how people react.

contact an attorney. You have rights and no one can force you out of your home. See if you can get a free legal consult. Some attorneys won't charge you anything unless they win your case. Also, check to see if you have a legal aide office in your area if you can't afford an attorney.

Yeah, you do have the right to defend yourself. You don't have to take abuse. You should fight back. A Christian should always try to combat evil, in any way possible.
