Of course we'd all be criminals. So aren't we all criminals in God's eyes?

That would be like living in a Muslim country where a religious book is used by dictators. No thanks. I'd move from that nation

It would be against the constitution, and struck down in federal court.

Having no other god before him? Not legal to enforce.

No coveting? Well the economy would collapse.

No idols? Television and Movies would collapse.

Honor thy father and mother? What about the ones who abuse children? Or Molest them? How will they enforce honoring them?

Remember the sabath thing? Well first problem, have to change all most of the christians church day away from sunday, but it would still be not legal to enforce this anyway.

List goes on and on. We already have laws that cover killing. The blanket law of Thou shall not kill, would mean we could not fight wars anymore. A vauge and unneeded law to start with.

You also have to know any of these that are actually useable as laws, have been laws for a while. And long before the ten commandments were handed down. Not kill was around long before mosses people, come on.

Selah...I love your answer.

The Christians brought the Ten Commandments to America. Our nation and it's laws are still based on these Christian concepts. That is why our country is so DIFFERENT from others. Our nation was built by those that loved and cherished the right to worship God freely...not the King of England.

Our Constitution was created and signed by God loving men.
Our first President, George Washington, loved God with all his heart.

Mankind is not perfect. To follow all of the Ten Commandments would be an impossible task, and without God's forgiveness what good would they be? But we should strive hard to follow them to the best of our ability, and realize that without God we can do nothing but fail. And with God, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.

Non Christians are afraid of anything that restricts them, therefore seek to destroy or take away anything that represents God. ie... Ten Commandments, Prayer in Schools, Abortion, etc. Our America will become like all other nations if God is removed.
Thank God, Christians will continue to fight against those that seek to make our nation a Godless one.

However, if your scenerio was to come true...I would think I had surely died and gone to Heaven.

They already are. All human law is based upon the Ten Commandments. The Ten Commandments as a document are attacked by the judicial system because jurist are legalistic and have a hard time seeing the handiwork of God in anything. They are also overcome with this provision in the US constitution concerning separation of church and state. Problem is, without the Ten Commandments as a foundation of Western law we would not have a civilized nation---we would be a mass of savages living under anarchy, a system where each man and woman would do what was right in his/her own eyes.

Well then the 10 Commandments would lose its "power" right? Just commandments # 1 to 4 is supposed to voluntary and would be meaningless if put into national law. #5 to #10 should be though...

Supposedley we are criminals right out of the womb anyways we are all born with original sin that deviates back to adam and eve, so why even ponder on a question that really has no clear answer.

Ten commandments were given to make laws, but Quran gave out more laws for a best politico-socioeconomic system of the society and defined them properly there is not confusion about the Islamic laws.

I assume that you mean in Israel.

If you tried it in the United States, it'd be unConstitutional, and we would not be obliged to follow those laws. Any attempt at enforcement would be a criminal act, and the police would need to either stand down and support the United States or defend themselves against patriotic citizens.

In the U.S., the laws concerning God, His name, and His day would be overturned as unconstitutional.

God sees us with the love of a parent who sees His children disobeying.

He rejoices when we ask for forgiveness, say we are sorry, and try to do better.

With love in Christ.

People would see their need for a Savior.(( which is why they were written in the first place.)) No one could live by those 10 rules. try it just for one day. the "covet" one will get you if the others don't. God wanted us to see that we cannot get to God based on laws or good deeds. the only way God is a relationship with Jesus.
"I am the way the truth and the life. no man comes to the Father, but thru me".- JESUS

Not necessarily a bad thing. But let's be realistic, we're all criminals anyway.
