We take her to the vet for the vitamins but if there's an over the counter cure without a trip to the vet it would be most helpful because she truly hates going to the vet and when we get home I get the pitiful looks but she'll get over it.

If ur dog is a small dog give it 2 tablespoons of canned pumpkin if it is a med size dog give 1/8 of a cup and if it is a large dog, give it 1/2 to 1 cup this will not hurt the dog and it will help on the constipation.

A dog gets over things much more quickly than a human does. And they dont hold grudges. If your dog is not eating dog food it could be for a number of reasons. First, if you spoil your dog and give her the food...instead of making her come to the food. She could be "bored" and thats why shes not eating, try taking away the food, exercising her and making her come to the food. NO HUMAN SCRAPS, that could also be the reason why she wont eat dog food, because all she wants is the scraps people give her. Break the habit by getting flavored dog gravy from the pet store. Also the vet should have something if not the pet store, to put in the food for her constipation, like extra fiber capsules or liquid. Soft food helps too. Good luck

How old is she? Maybe, she really doesnt need the vitamins........What she needs is to put ONLY dry food and plenty of water in separate bowls........put the food out for only one hour a day, and if she doesnt eat in that hour, PICK UP THE FOOD, ALWAYS HAVE CLEAN WATER FOR HER............this might go on for 3-4 days. Dont feed her SNACKS, ANYTHING, expect for when you offer her the dry food. Believe it.......or not!!! She will eat, and more than likely, the constipation will correct itself, If she is under 7 yrs old, if this idea doesnt correct her problem, I think I would get a second opinion

Does your dog eat dry dog food? If so then give her canned dog food. My dogs get that every once in a while as a treat and it makes them have diarrhea. Really though your vet should be recommending something.

sorry to hear your dog isnt eating, what is the reason she is not eating? is there a health reason?
Maybe the vitamins are constipating her. Talk to the vet about it, and maybe there is too high a dosage of something in the vitamins.

Maybe call the vet and get a recommendation of what you can use - you really shouldn't give an animal any medication without consulting your vet first.

Good Luck!

well the reason your dog is getting sick you because you keep changing her food. when you switch a dog to a new or different dog food you need to mix it with their old food so their stomach won't hurt. my suggestion would be to pick one dog food brand you like it and stick to you. Her stomach might still have diarrhea for a few days but should be normal after that.

She is not eating because there is no room in her belly to eat. Vitamins are only making her more constipated. Keep her hydrated..

Baby food or steamed white rice with hamburger meat or chicken.
you can also give her a capfull of pepto bismal - her stomach could be upset. It might also be the vitamins you're giving her.
