Scents that make you feel good. Fresh scents. But hopefully nothing too overpowering, or else you might put off your visitors.
Partylite makes great candles in a wide variety of scents, and they are scented completely through the wax, not just on the surface.

I have to admit that I love starting this time of ear pumpkin and nutmeg scents--usually for spring and summer I prefer linen or just a clean smell. I have read so much lately on candles not being good for you to breath in. I know for sure that things like glad-plug ins are bad for allergy sufferes and can be a little strong. The best route to me personally are the new diffuser things with the sticks that you can make a strong or as subtle as you like--they are also better for the air and lungs!!

I love cinnamon scented candles.
And the smell of lemongrass.
But it really depends, and - like everything else - the more expensive the product, the better the smell.
Can't stand any of the supermarkets sweet/candy/fruity/vanilly scents. Some companies like L'Occitane, Roget&Gallet and Crabtree and Evelyn make good scented soaps and toiletries.

That is totally a personal choice. You may hate a scent someone else loves. However, different scents evoke different feelings...Lavender-calming, Lemon/Citrus/Mints-exhilarating, etc. If you're trying to attract a man, hahah, use food scents. Men respond to those...it's been proven...haha. Vanilla, peach, chocolate..lol.....My personal favorite is the clean scents, such as ocean mist, linen, cotton.....wonderful!

Fresh air. I love the sent of a house that has all it's windows open.... of course this works better if you live in the country away from farms!! If it's not feasible to have the windows open, I enjoy Glade plug-in's Apple and Cinnamon.

when showing your home to sell, experts suggest baking bread is a great smell that almost everyone likes, and gives the house a "homey" feeling.
