no, i just lost my mother and i wouldnt have sang that song. That is kind of selfish especially when there is nothing they can do 2 save her. I really like what dianne said. My son sang my mom a song telling her all the great things that she has done while he played the guitar.

Maybe, but I would sing something that would give her closer, and make her remember that even though she is going to die I will always love her and never forget her. I just recently lost my mom also so I know what you are going though.

I don't really think it is appropriate in that situation, If my mom was dying then I wouldn't want her to hear a song asking her to stay I want her to believe that we will be ok without her and she can stop her suffering and go.
