Now I'm not saying to kiss your baby on the lips is wrong
but as they get older you might want to stick with hugs and kisses on the cheek and forehead.

I kiss my baby on the lips all the time. We've been married 30 years and I still get a thrill out of it.

There's nothing wrong with kissing your baby on the lips as long as your not getting pleasure out of it and don't let the kiss be lingering only a peck.

Im 26 and I still kiss my dad on the lips... and my brothers & sisters... Im the 9th child... the youngest. I dont think anything at all is wrong with kissing family on the lips... its totally normal. Its not ok to FRENCH kiss any part of your family... EVER! But kissing is a sign of affection.

Yes it is wrong because it teaches them to kiss everyone on the lips. I am sooooo tired of having to kiss all of my friends and relatives babies on their drooly little mouths because that is what they know to do and parents always seem to think it is so cute. "Now give auntie a kiss goodbye". No matter how hard I try for a rosie cheek, I end up with a drooly mouth and laughing parents. EWWWW

No, I did it all the time. My older son is 31 and I still peck him on the lips- Babies are very sensual little buggers.
It's not sexual-it's affection.
They go through phases when they are 3-5 when they want to hang on you and mash you-like they see on TV- -don't let that happen. Just say that is hollywood kissing, save it for your girlfriend. and then laugh a little.
After about 6 or so, they will get real shy and not want any affection in public-especially boys-honor that.
I kissed my sons' cheeks or hugged them through out their childhoods, but honored the boundaries that we both set.
