Any kind of water, even flavored sparkling water, is better for you than soft drinks or alcoholic beverages. Just check the label and make sure the water you're drinking does NOT contain high fructose corn syrup -- it's the father of all dietary evil, and you sure as heck don't want it in your water. Most of the flavored sparkling waters are 0 calories, so they won't have it, but it's worth taking the extra time to check. Drinking one beverage with high fructose corn syrup a day will put 15 pounds on you in one year. Don't go there.

Water does not give you indigestion. The other things that you drink are almost entirely water, and would also give you indigestion. If you drink them because you just like the way they taste then that is a better excuse. Really you should try to drink non-carbonated water, as it is healthier for you. Try drinking straight water with a little flavor added to it. That way you are getting all the benefit from the water, it is not being wasted by the carbonation.

Yes
Just not the energy stuff with caffeine, taurine, guarana and all that jazz...
Better to drink plain water or a rehydration solution
but mineral water or cordial or other things like that are okay too
Just not too sweet or the sugar can cause problems.

yes, there's not a lot of difference. Just be sure it doesn't have a lot of added sugar and things that aren't healthy. I'm opposite, I can't do the carbonated water because of indigestion.

Too much water can kill you (100 glasses a day, I think you drown your cells), but they reccomend 8 glasses or more a day, but not too much.
