No. A healthy amount of weight that a person can expect to lose is about a pound a week. This would mean about 24 pounds in six months...Obviously, there are other things that might contribute, and add to the weight loss, such as water weight, and such, but tripling this figure is not normal or healthy.

I lost 105 lbs in 8 months and I can assure you that it was the best thing I did for myself. However, I did it by eating a healthy 1500 calories a day and exercising 7 days a week, at least 30-45 minutes a day. I have kept the weight off for 3 years so far. I am 32 yrs of age and feel great. I weighed 256 lbs after taking Zoloft for 4 years. I am 5'10, weigh 152 lbs, and wear a size 6. I think if you lose weight in a healthy way, it shouldn't matter how much you lose in 6 months.

It's really not healthy to lose 90 lbs in 6 months. It took longer than that to put ON the 90 lbs, I assume. It also depends on the starting weight. A very obese individual will lose weight much faster than someone who is only moderately overweight. Another factor is the end weight - is this person now very skinny? Or still has a good bit of weight to lose?
It's not so bad if the weight loss was intentional (through diet and exercise). But if the weight loss was accidental then it is very worrisome. It could be a sign of diabetes, cancer, or parasites.
I would recommend that anyone who loses 90lbs in 6 months (for ANY reason, intentional or accidental) consult their doctor for a checkup to make sure that they are in good health.

Not really. That's a little over 3 lbs. weight loss per week and the safe and healthy number of pounds lost per week is 1-2 lbs. If you lose weight faster than that, it's usually either water or muscle weight and then it tends to come right back.

properly you should surely lose some million/2 of what you like to lose healthily...yet 40 pounds in 2 months? no longer purely is that kinda unrealistic, it is likewise no longer best for you. docs say that a good quantity of weight to lose a week is approximately 2 pounds, supply or take. So technically in case you have a good work out recurring paired with a healthful weight loss application then it must be executed in perchance 4 months. merely be careful and while you're nonetheless no longer at your purpose in the previous college starts off, attempt flattering clothing and perchance a advantageous haircut or something to make your self experience greater useful. remember, your physique of ideas sticks out greater desirable than your weight. good success :D

It is not unhealthy but it is harder to keep the weight off, the recommended amount of weight to be healthy and keep it off is usually 2-3 lbs per week.

People who have bariatric surgery to lose weight seem to lose it that quickly. But as far as naturally losing that much so quickly, there may be an underlying medical problem causing the weight loss.

It can be done. Was the weight loss intentional? If not, there may be something wrong. It would also depend on the starting weight of the person doing it.

depends on how that goal was acheived....if the person was obese at the beginning then yes it is normal with the loss slowing toward the end....or if the person had surgery for weight loss it would be considered normal
