Stinky flatulance comes from eating meat, fish, and dairy. The really hardcore gas comes from eating hard to digest veggies like raw broccoli.

It's not always a sign that you need to take a crap. Something inside your stomach there are lots of chemical reactions that, you guess it, create gas. It's a sign, though, that you ate things that when combined, their chemicals don't mesh well and produce smelly gas.
