Most fast food places sell salads. Just watch the dressing and croutons and don't get breaded chicken on them. Also most have chicken sandwiches, get grilled with no Mayo and you can always eat them without the bun or just take the top bun off if you want some bread. Subway has many sandwiches which are on their low fat menu, but beware some people think everything there is healthy and obviously if you are getting fatty meat (ham, roast beef) and loading it with mayo and cheese it is no longer healthy. When you come home cook up some skinless, boneless chicken breast and have with a medium baked potato and some steamed veggies. Have a yogurt parfait for dessert. Or have a whole wheat sandwich using turkey or sliced chicken and load it with veggies of your choosing. Don't' be afraid to do breakfast for dinner, have a bowl of whole grain cereal or some eggs or a bowl of oatmeal and some whole wheat toasted bread. But remember to keep eating. You should do 5-6 smaller meals a day. That way you'll feel satisfied and not feel like you are denying yourself. Make sugar free jello or pudding for a treat.

Cheap cucumbers sliced up are an excellent way to either clean your stomach in the morning as a breakfast,or to hold you over until your next solid meal.Very good for chemical balancing of the body,as with any green vegetable.Greens help absorb fat and pollutants from the body.
No set amounts.Only eat when you are truly physically hungry.Avoid the peer presure to eat for fun.
I recommend the Atkins diet for a maximum of 3-4 months if you
are unsure of food choices.I like it becasue it lowers blood sugar,
but my blood type may be more senstive to bread and fruit than yours.Avoid white starch whenever possible.
Also, drink 6-8 ounces of water first thing in the morning.Improves your body chemistry for the whole day.

Here's a list of diet friendly foods. You might be surprised:
-- Nuts, any kind (almonds are best)
-- Beans/Legumes
-- Green veggies (raw spinach, romaine, field greens, broccoli)
-- Lowfat dairy products (NOT frozen yogurt or ice cream)
-- Eggs (high in protein and monounsaturated fat)
-- Lean meats (especially fish and poultry)
-- Whole grain breads/cereals/pasta (Barilla Plus is very good)
-- Fresh fruits (anything that ends in the word "berry" is great)
You should eat breakfast every day, within 90 minutes of getting up -- people who don't are 450% more likely to be overweight.
You should eat six small meals per day instead of three squares per day -- anything you eat that your body can't use right away gets stored as fat.
Try taking a tablespoonful of olive oil three times a day -- it's high in monounsaturated fat and is a natural appetite suppressant
Drink lots of water and tea, preferably green tea or black pekoe tea -- they both are high in antioxidants and boost metabolism
For 1/2 a day, once a week, chuck the rules and eat whatever you want -- just don't stuff yourself
Best exercises for weight loss are circuit training with light weights and "sprint drills" -- sprint for 30 seconds, jog or walk for 90-120 seconds, repeat 8-12 times.
Good luck!

My favorite answer to this is... anything.
Anything is good in moderation. The food chart is a great thing to reference, you notice there is no candy on it :D I generally eat alot of rice, cereal, lean meat, water, fruits and veggies.
I am extremely athletic also, 5'5 and 118 lbs. I am also studying to be a Personal Trainer. So I am answering the questions as a person that has experience not as a professional. But it has worked for me :D
Good Luck :D

Eat most carb stuff in the morning or before exercise. Get enough fiber. Eat meals no larger than your fist at once, and eat 5-6 meals per day. Drink lots of COLD water, and make sure to drink one full glass before eating each meal. Try more oat and potato bread, and less white or wheat. Put flaxseed on almost everything you eat. Drink a couple of glasses of green tea every day, instead of soda or juice.
Breakfast: bagle with cream cheese, coffee
Breakfast 2:( 90 minutes later) banana or apple, and yogurt with granola on top.
Lunch: slald kit with grilled pre-cooked Tyson seasoned grilled chicken strips on top, and green tea.
Lunch 2: 2 hours later: Sliced apple with plain yogurt and cinnamon on top, add raisins if desired..
Dinner: brioled whitefish like tilapia, brushed with olive oil, topped with sliced slmonds, and a squirt of lemon juice, one dinner roll with butter, and french-cut green beans with lemon juice (no butter).
Dessert: banana with chocolate syrup drizzled on it, or 20 wheat thins with a smear of cream cheese and a strawberry slice, or a rice cake with honey drizzled on it and blueberries.
Try putting flaxseed on foods you cook, drink green tea every day, have yogurt at least every other day, drink a full glass of COLD water before each meal, eat 5-6 smaller-portion meals (size of your fist), but and use smaller plates, caffine and carb-rich stuff in morning and before lunch, and play tennis, basketball, racketball, or salsa dancing for an hour every other day.
When your alarm goes off in the am, roll over and do 10 pushups in bed, every other day. And do 15 crunches every other day.
Jog, run, shoot baskets, etc for the next 30 minutes.
In the evening, while you watch tv, do straight-leg lifts while you sit at the edge of your seat, lean back, back-straight. Do three sets of 30. It tightens abs while you lounge. Next night, go salsa dancing or to karate classes (or racketball or tennis) do this for an hour.
