Sometimes I get very depressed at night when I go to bed, and then the next morning I'm ok. Anyone else have this problem? I am bipolar, by the way. Is that significant?

Many people with bipolar tend to get more depressed in the evening that during the day. It could also be "sun down syndrome" where you have less light and that causes an increase in depression

Some people do have a stronger need for light than others. Have you heard of SAD (seasonal affective disorder) ? That's when people get depressed in the winter because of the shorter days.It sounds like you might have something similar. Making you feel better may require nothing more than some special lights in your house to give you an extra boost. Ask your doctor about it.

Yes, there is; I have depression, and whenever winter comes and the days get shorter, I get really depressed even if nothing else in my life has changed. It's a diagnosable thing. I always turn on lots of light, listen to music, or read to get my mind off it.
