She is fair game. It's not like she's married. Friend or not, it didn't work out for them. If your friend has an issue with it, either he'll get over it or he will resent you for it, and you cannot control how another person feels.
My best friend and I feel that a guy can date a girl and vice versa as long as they are not going out with anyone else. The past is in the past and not everyone is compatible. I would not date my best friend's ex-boyfriends, but then again, she and I have different taste in guys. But if I liked a guy and he dated someone in the past that I was friends with, but not best friends, "hey, fair game", I'd go for it!

If your friend cheated on her, than I guess it not up to you to keep the code since he didn't really care for her in the first place.
She definitely deserve someone alot better, and seems like you have shown her just that; which you did not take advantage of the situation when you had the chance.
I would say by going for her you wouldn't break any of the code at all.

Seriously all the Male Testosterone aside. How good of friends are you and the other guy? Is it someone you want to keep as a friend? If you do, then you should really talk to them about it. If you don't mind losing a friend and possibly getting in a fight then don't talk about it. Also make sure she says it's ok, before you actually have sex. Did you know it's considered rape if she doesn't specifically tell you it's ok? Crazy, Good Luck!

ok, it probably is violating the "guy code" but if she didn't feel the same about you as you do her, she probably wouldn't have asked you to stay and put your arm around her... dude just do it, ask her out... and if you feel badly about it, tell your buddy about it, and tell him how you really feel... he oviously didn't care much about her if he cheated on her, right? right!! Just do what is in your heart... But, ask her how she feels first, and tell her how you feel, and see if things could work out, make sure its not something like she wants to use you for "pay back" and if things are cool with you two, tell your buddy... you snooze you lose, get at it... and good luck!!

she did no longer verbally abuse you or touch you, so no that's not organic to experience violated. If I felt violated each time a guy gawks at me i would not have the potential to bypass away the homestead because of the fact it occurs continuously.
