These books are violent if you think it is violent.

For me, the Bible is filled with love, wisdom and invaluable life experiences and lessons which we can all learn from. It has made me a more humble and giving person.

With regards to violence Tom & Jerry, The Roadrunner, Popeye and such cartoons are all filled with extreme violence. But nobody complains about this. Thats because everyone before watching it they have already decided that because it is a cartoon it is hilarious rather than violent.

Same for reading the Bible you only learn what you have already decided in the mind what it is.

None is violent. The prevading theme is to draw and groom our God-consciouness. For example, there are no 5 continuous sentences in the Holy Qur'an, where this prevading theme is not there. Resisting aggression is not violence. It is permitted only when a populace is expelled from their homes and hearth for no fault. When worshipping God is a crime( as was reported about in former USSR's central asian republics). The Bible, the Qur'an, the Avesta(of prophet Zoroaster), the Geeta (of Krishna) are ecstatic readings. Get hold of authentic translations or read books by western scholars/mystics/philosophers like Rene Guenon, Frithjof Schuon, Martin Lings etc. please. And, be spiritual, not dogmatic.

Anyone can say anything about either but does not make it true. I can say the moon is made from green cheese but does that make it true? Both are speaking of the same God supposedly so add all the figures up and you get a lot more cruel things but then ask yourself, did they really deserve it for disobeying and choosing the end they got? If you choose the action why do you want to whine about the result when you knew what it would be?

Yes, both the Bible and the Qu'ran are filled with violence and alleged commands to do violence by their god.

Regarding that site, having done a decent amount of Bible study in the past, I find they have made a lot of errors in their critique. Posting them alongside the legitimate utter crap found in the Bible tends to diminish the strength of the argument. IMHO, they should actually take feedback from Christians into consideration and eliminate the weaker aspects of their critique if they want to make a compelling case.

Why do you ask questions you do no longer prefer an answer to? the part of the Bible and Christianity is which you will no longer shop on with The Bible precise. that's what makes a Christian a Christian. Being a sinner is a prerequisite to being a Christian. the undertaking with faith is that it says, "do good, get good. Do undesirable, get undesirable". Christianity says that God did each and every thing for us. All we could desire to consistently do is have faith and get in touch with get carry of His eternal present of salvation. that's called The Gospel of Grace. while you're feeling undesirable, do no longer blame the Christians. you spot, Eve blamed the serpent while she did what God advised her to no longer do. Adam blamed Eve or maybe blamed God for his sin. and human beings have been blaming all and sundry else ever because. once you get indignant at Christians, that's called self-condemnation. there is not any reason to experience that way. Jesus died so as which you in no way had to experience that way. He became our Sacrifice as quickly as and for all.

I can only speak for the bibble. It is very violent. Children should not be allowed to read it without adult supervision. It has more violence then any R rated movie I have seen. A vengeful god teasing people, telling them to kill their children, killing the children of egypt, after the god fellow made the boss change his mind? Ugly stuff. A huge snuff novel.

God however you believe him to be must show His anger to the human race,,, otherwise,, we wil not see His love..

Violence is not as what every person believes it is.. For are we not violent if our life is threated.

It is just like saying there would have been no darkness if there was no light,,,there would be no white if there was no black... their would be no good if there is no evil..

It is just as simple as that.

Overlooks that fact that more people have been killed by atheist countries (Russia, China, North Korea, North Vietnam, Cuba, etc.) in just the last century then in all the other wars in the entire history of the world combined. (Not to mention tortured, imprisoned, stripped of human rights, impovered, and more).

Thank God, Christian are still around to keep the world alive.

These scriptures were written at that time ..when nature was under more struggle ...read current status...
God is prime element which is converted into cretion. In other word in the sky of infinity this infinitely existing one is called god,who is associated with all visible and invisible.God is an existence . we are part of it .Like a molecule in a stone. The molecule of infinity as a whole is called a stone.Likewise a small existence of god in every molecule is a prime truth. Effect of creation is called nature and being self processed. The procedure of processing is nature which is created by effect of creation. Now god is an existence and every part of god is managed by automatic system of nature .We are being managed by nature which is called “shakti”(almighty )and whole existece is called “shiva” .Respectively territorial parts of nature are called bhagwan\ deities. The prime soul of whole existing is “Ishwar”,which at present is in salvation position .Ishwar was and will be almighty at the time of starting conversion of element into creation and end of creation(kayamat). Then after he will be new creator of new creation .It is endless process and continuous process.Molecules of creation are being transformed into “Atma”by it”s nature. At present nature is almighty .All molecules of creation are self managed and effected (controlled) by automatic system of nature.Nature is effect of co-existence of molecules. Now we are under control of territorial bhagwans\deities(Teritorial nature).keeping in view to above facts it is clear that at present god is an existence and being self processed by it”s nature.
Nature is not yet become perfect. She is partially negative also. She has desires for improvement, increase of her strength and capacity. She likes every thing as you compell to do by your nature. Now you have two ways,Either you have to faith in your god or go with nature.Nature Involves enjoyment as well as punishment and sacrifice also. Her every action gets reaction. So enjoy the life or strict in your faith in god.who will certainly give you better position in next creation and you will be enjoy to infinite extent. If you are very bad man you will be toilet cleaner in next creation. So know your self and be cooperative and merciful to each other. Then, nature will also love you as well as god loves you.
