people like me. I am on my feet 10 hours a day. I am an Medical Assistant which does not give me a chance to sit down at all. By the end of the day my feet and my knees are hurting me due to me having the wrong kind of shoe and not enough padding in the sole.

They do sell nurses shoes at medical stores.Since I can relate to your pain,The most comfortable shoes I own are from The Walking company (West Palm Area) They sell shoes customed designed for you lifestyle. They even have cusrtom arches too.I bought a pair of Merlins and the soles for @ $150. My feet NEVER hurt after 10+ hours on concrete and walking 24 miles.(I wore a pedometer just to see how much I walk in a day.)

My mom is currently seeing an ortho and a podiatrist re: foot problems. The 2 doctors agreed she should get asics rocker bottom shoes. Asics has their own stores in the mall. She went their and paid about $100.00 for a pair and they have made a huge difference in her comfort. The rocker bottoms lower the stress on the arch of your foot and allow you to "rock" from your heel to your toes. Your knees will do better once you have a little cushion in the sole. Good Luck.

I wear crocs and I am on my feet at my 2nd job as a cook. Many stores sell them however some are not as nice as others. Make sure they have more of a rubber feel verses a hard plastic feel to them. I actually found mine at a family dollar store for $4.00 and they have saved my feet....good luck to you!
