Head & shoulders is pretty good for oily hair, but make sure you use a good conditioner too because you don't want to totally dry out your hair. You can also try alternating between a strong shampoo and a regular one with each shower, to keep some of your natural oils in your hair.

You can use shampoo specifically designed for oily hair, but you want some natural oil in your hair so it is shiny and healthy and you don't look like a scarecrow. Also, if you wash your hair regularly that should take care of the dirt issue.

Shampoos that are made for volume often dry your hair a bit because the way they add volume is by stripping some of the oil out. My hairdresser told me that. Ones that are made to make your hair smooth often make it a little more oily. Classic clean is also good.

I have very oily hair also. I have to wash my hair daily. What I do is alternate shampoos. And a beautician once told me to use Ivory soap every now and then. It does work, no matter what anybody tells you.

use dove therapy shampoo, it treats every thing and keeps your hair shiny and healthy. Baby shampoo also strips your hair of all oils, even thought it is for baby's it is really strong, so if you use that i suggest only shampooing your hair every other day.

Every now and then, use Dawn dishwasing soap, but wash with your normal shampoo right afterward.
