Transfer all of your material onto index cards. Make questions and answers for yourself. Look at each question and think of the answer. Turn it over and check to see if you are right. If so, put it in the "finished" pile. If you didn't have it 100% correct put it back in the shuffle. Go through these as quickly as you can but do them over again and again until you have them all in the 100% finished pile.
My daughter does this with most of her college classes and she gets A's in almost everything.

If you are bored, maybe you should reconsider your major.
Everyone seems to want to be a veterinarian!
If you are sure about your direction of study, then maybe you
just need some ideas:
1. Get a study partner--I studied Astronomy in college and did very well because my study partner was an "A" student.
2. Reward yourself with something when you are done;i.e.,
"when I finish all this, I can_____." Do not let yourself
do anything fun until the work is finished.
3. Stop being bored. Pay attention to the work. It's hard work to learn! It only starts being "fun" after you learn it!

Guess what. Sometimes studying is boring. Just as working is sometimes boring. But if you have a goal, you can slog through it when you have to, and then get into the interesting stuff.
Actually, veterniary assistant's courses can be very interesting.
You're going to learn a lot of biology and a number of medical terms and procedures, as well as information pertaining to different classes of animals. Try tutoring your cat, or your dog, or your teddy bear, and explain to them the concepts that you are learning. Sounds goofy? Maybe, but it works. It also helps keep you awake.

Studying isn't meant to be fun. Accept that there are alot of things you'll need to do in life that aren't about fun. This is about achieving a long-term goal and enjoying the personal satisfaction, higher wages, & other rewards.

If you're bored, you're in the wrong field. And work will only be more boring to you. You're in the wrong field. Try something else where you find that you are not bored.

You can relate school with something you like and enjoy very much. For example, if you love music and one of your favorite singers was borned in 1982 and the first veterinarian was in 1980 you can remember it easier.
