well the way that this question is worded, it sounds like you are asking what is the handle.. so for that the side of the mug that has the skinny curved thing attached at the top and the bottom of the mug is the side with the handle on it...

I think its better you understand that a coffee mug has only one handle and you can hold it how you like. All it matters is how you want to hold and have the coffee.

I really prefer it to hold it in my right hand and have a sip of coffee with my.....

its simple as when you ask a question like if i fill a glass of water half.

people can define it as half filled or half empty......
