I know I spoil my cat, but sometimes he gets real stubborn, and after he jumps off my lap, he'll cry 5 minuets later to come back on. I'll tell him to jump up, but he gets real stubborn, until I tell him either jump up on my lap or go lay down, sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't. What can I do to get him to listen, and not cry as often for this, and for coming to bed with me?

It's actually a sign of affection that your cat wants to sleep with you and be near you...it's their way of nurturing 'their' humans. Cats don't do anything exactly like we want them to do it, which is part of their semi-independent nature.

My cat not only is spoiled, but she 'spoils' me by showing unconditional love because she knows I adopted her and gave her a loving home....and she's thankful for it, she shows it by letting me be her special human.

Hate to say this but some cats are just genuinely stubborn. My cat refuses to listen to anyone anything she does has to be HER idea. For example if shes outside and wants to come in I can open my door for her but if I stand there and say "come on get in here" she just sits at the door looking stupid but if I turn away from the door or pretend I'm not paying attention to her she marches right in as if she owned the place.

All I can say is not worry when he cries some cats are very very loud and very talkative others are very quiet (like most humans I suppose) but when he is loud try and find out what he needs or wants and if you find out hes making noise just to be a big baby ignore him and he will figure out that whining won't get him anywhere soon enough :P

Cats are more intelligent then most people give them credit for and they seem to love to play mind games. :) good luck and enjoy his stubborness and "rascalness"

Our male was pretty similar to your cat. He seemed to feel the need to constantly be in someone's lap, give hugs while on the sink counters, etc. He didn't cry, though. But we adopted a female last week, and he hasn't been nearly as needy since. He's getting some lovin' from her, and I think that's satisfying his needs a bit, lol. So if you've ever considered getting another cat, give it a try:)

It is OK to spoil pets; many of us do. It sounds to me as if your cat wants something else (I don't know what) because if he was just spoiled, he would stop crying when he got what he wanted. Could he be in some type of discomfort? It may be hard but try to find out.

Good luck to you and your lucky cat.

Ha, Ha, an same ingredient handed off with my cat. i began out with the low priced can meat, and then in some unspecified time sooner or later a received a can of extreme priced fancy ceremonial dinner in the mail, I allow her attempt it, and that replaced right into a huge mistake. She does no longer contact the different. i ultimately positioned the low priced stuff in a bowl beside her dry nutrients, and she or he ought to easily sit down and stare at me, and growl, like i extremely did some thing incorrect. I left it for her a pair days, and she or he determined if she replaced into hungary sufficient that it replaced into nicely worth ingesting regardless of each and every thing, on account that she of direction replaced into no longer going to get the extreme priced stuff anymore. You cat receives hungary sufficient to ultimately getting round to ingesting it,

Kill him with kindness. One of my cats was such an attention hog and I was starting to get irritated with him. I just started picking him up every single time he walked by. I gave him big hugs and showered him with kisses. I would not put him down until he literally pulled away. After about 2 weeks of this he started to only approach me when he really wanted attention.

I patted our cat's behind when she got like that, because she is totally spoiled rotten. I'll tap her behind with enough force to make her realize she's doing wrong, but not enough to hurt her, and say NO in a stern voice. That works for me.

just keep doing what you are doing and be consistent with it. dont let any moment pass.
