Wont happen unless we are attacked. We were very close after 9-11.
People only ask for God when they are in trouble.

Which Christian Americans would those be? The Plymouth Brethren? The Puritans? The Quakers? The Catholics who left England to escape the tyranny of the Anglican Church?
There are four and only four options regarding the interaction of religion and government.
1) Establish one religion that all memebers of the state must follow- i.e. force people to worship in a particular way and if they refuse to believe everything that the leaders tell them- put them in jail or execute them. Societies have done that and some still do. The U.S. has wisely decided that this is the wrong way because it gives religious leaders- mortal men like any other- too much power and too strong a tendency to corruption.
2) Make all religion illegal. The Soviets tried it and couldn't really get it to work.
3) Make some religions legal and others illegal. This requires a governmental listing of state-approved religions, licensing for local assemblies, government inspection of church teaching and doctrine and a huge department of government to enforce the law. It is really just a variation of the first option.
4) Make the practice of religion a matter of personal freedom. This is the approach that the U.S. has adopted thanks to the wisdom of our founders. Real love for God cannot be enforced by a government. It can only happen by an individual choice. Some people are willing to fight for this important idea. I'm one of those.
Oh, by the way- God does not start wars. Bigots start wars. Or what do you call people who decide that others are evil without knowing anything about them personally? Whatever. It's politics, not religion. Keep the two separate and I'll let you stay in my country.

This country was founded on freedom of religion. Get over it.
The values may be the same as some Christian values but are actually present in a great number of cultures and religions. Sure most of the population are Christian, which affects some of the attitudes, but that is why the Constitution specifically allows for freedom of ANY religion to be practiced and that the government cannot promote ANY religion. What you Christians need to do is worship however you want and let the rest of us do the same. (not just a good idea - its the law)

First, we need to write to our congressmen and demand that they repeal the first amendment to the constitution, the one guaranteeing freedom of religion and freedom of the press and freedom of speech. Or better yet, let's just throw out the entire Bill of Rights! Then there will be nothing left to dictate the separation of church and state. Congress or the President or whoever can tell us exactly what to believe and what God to worship, maybe they'll even decide what church we go to by the last four digits of our social security number. Then you can gather up all the witches and heretics and burn us at the stake! Oh what fun! The country will be yours again. Would you like to buy a couple of slaves?
THANK GOD that WE THE PEOPLE have learned something over the last few hundred years. It's not always a good thing to look back and wish for yesterday. "Those who for get the past, are condemned to relive it." The good old days weren't always so good, they just get sugar-coated in our minds... We all need to open our minds and learn a little tolerance, Christians and non-Christians alike.

They could start by learning proper grammar.
To correctly put your sentence, "What do Christian Americans have to do to reclaim their country?"
Secondly, America is "the home of the free".
Americans are free to make their own choices about religion.
So unless you'd like to be a country where religion and politics are one in the same (because Israel has done oh-so well), there will be no "reclaiming" done.
And a third thing: If any group has the right to reclaim, it should be the Native Americans. You Christians stole this country from them.

Regardless of who founded it, this is not a Christian country. America is fleeting. God is forever. I'll stand for my God first and foremost. This country might not be here in ten years. Our country contains a large percentage of the world's self-proclaimed Christians, but it acts the least like Jesus instructed. We shouldn't have ANY homeless, hungry, or unclothed people, yet we do. We should be taking care of children and AIDS sufferers all around this world, because that's what Jesus did.
Don't get me wrong, this country has great potential, and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Government and Religion should have nothing to do with one another. Even God warned the Israelites about this when they first asked for a king.

Okay homie, check this out... do the scriptures not say that Christ will bring about God's kingdom on Earth? Sooooo.....it's not here yet. So I'm going to have to agree with most of the others you have pounding you here. The U.S. is not a Christian nation alone. It still is and always will be "The Great American Melting Pot!" Of course that is until God is ready to do whatever it is He said He would do.

Number one... PRAY!!! Pray like crazy. Prayer is our most effective weapon against sin and Godlessness in our culture.
Number two... Vote. Vote your values. Vote for people who will uphold your views. This is what America is about. Majority rules. A LOT of people don't vote because they think their voice doesn't count but it DOES! If there are one million people (just an example, I don't know the actual statistic) who each say "my vote doesn't matter anyway"... think about it! One million votes is a HUGE force. A single vote might not seem like much but you add to it so many more who think the same way and you have a powerful voice.
Also, make your opinion known on issues to your state representatives. Call or email them and tell them what you think. They have to listen to the people in their jurisdiction and vote the way the majority of the people tell them to. Keep their actions and views in mind during state elections as well. Most representatives/senators have websites with contact info.
Get involved with onemillionmoms.com or onemilliondads.com . They are a group that makes petitions and things like that. They send out email alerts on important issues with info for how to contact people to make your voice heard. I believe they are part of the American Family Association. If you go to the AFA website you should find all kinds of info.
Example--If you see a movie with blatantly un-Godly language, attitudes, or situations... e-mail the producer, or the company, and tell them that this is out of line with your values. And don't buy, or rent it at all. You vote with your consumer dollars too. Every dollar you spend on a product is like a "vote" in favor of that product.
Just be polite though... it sets back this cause to spew hate and vitriol everywhere. It is not Christlike and it sets a bad image for other Christians as well. Be polite, but make your voice heard!
One of the most important things though is to LIVE YOUR FAITH! God wants us to be a light in the darkness to others. Live in a Christ-like manner and show others the way. They will see your example and want to know more about the Lord, who has changed you so much and been such a force of good in your life. Make your choices based on your faith. Stay away from things that you believe are wrong. You can do it by the grace of God! And if you stumble, repent and turn away from the sin, and go on your way, avoiding that sin in the future. Learn from your mistakes.
Hope this helps!

In addition to the information others have posted about your misinformation, let me ask a couple of questions:
*In whose God do we trust? It doesn't specify Jesus or Jehovah or Yahweh or Allah or Clapton...
*Aren't the 10 commandments given in the OLD Testament? That's the "Hebrew" Bible or the Jewish Bible in which case Christians have no claim to ownership of this country.

You are dead wrong. This country was founded on the principle that all men are created equal and that they are endowed by their Creator certain rights which are: life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. You cannot take away my liberty or my pursuit of happiness by forcing your religion down my throat. No court in the country will support you.
I suggest you move to a country that does not allow these freedoms to its citizens.

you cant. as seen here in the 1797Treaty of Tripoli (Article 11, which is still upheld to this day)
Art. 11. As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquillity, of Mussulmen; and, as the said States never entered into any war, or act of hostility against any Mahometan nation, it is declared by the parties, that no pretext arising from religious opinions, shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries.
many of the foundign fathers were not christian, this nation never was yours and never will be yours. i reccomend if yo uwant a christian state....secede from the US and take over some crap state inthe south...im sure we can live without it.
sorry, what made america great is its diversity, not christians...and by diversity i mean differnt people of differnt backgrounds...and that includes religions.
dont like it? leave.
