This question might seem silly to some, but it really touches on important issues all religious people should think about.

Science does not only go by fact, but also theory that takes faith.
Example # 1- Evolution. This takes much faith. More so than the faith in God. Darwin was a fraud and so was Dr. Louis Leaky. There is no imperical evidence of evolution. It is made up on a lot of guess work. There are too many missing links. Guess work takes a lot of faith and becomes its own religion after that.
# 2 - Astromony; Pretty much the same as above. We can see the stars, galaxies and such, but we don't really know how it all started and have to theorize. ( Faith once again)
It is easier for a scientist to do this when they don't want to admit the probability of God.
The Bible does not pretend to be a scientific book. But has been proven through archeology that the cities in the Bible aren't a myth. The cities of Ur, Babylon and countless others have been found and ceased to be just myth. Christ Jesus refered back to what we now call the Old Testement as an accurate scripture. I think I would believe Him before I would believe someone with an agenda that is not entirely honorable.
Another good example of a fraud in science is the human embryo. Even after man knew what a fetus looked like in all of its stages, science continued to draw it with a tail. Total fraud and also an intentional lie to cover up their lies and failure.
Before you go out to try to prove the Bible wrong, or say anything against it, you need to read it first, or risk looking like a complete fool.

the Bible is not a science book by far, but in any place where it addresses science, it is scientifically accurate. the creator of science (which can literally be called the study of God's creation) is also the author of the Bible, therefore; the two must cooperate. some scientists make claims for their own glory, some are just ignorant. true scientists would never make a claim against God's Word, because true science dictates that all processes of science must be clarified beyond a shadow of a doubt, and clarification at that point would show the infallibility of the Bible.

Why does the Bible make claims that disagree with science which can be proven through experiments?
The Bible expects us to take certain items on faith and belief, not proof.

Why are you using computer right now? Part of the science that made such claims is what went into the technology you so enjoy today. Let's start with lightning. If science didn't harness this energy which later led to the discovery of electricity then we woulnd't have much of our current technology. They could've left it with "lightning is God's wrath", and we would still be smacking each other with wooden clubs today.

because the bible was written by ordinary people who lived 2000 years ago, with little understanding of the world, or how things work.

In my opinion the NT is nothing more than a biography, the rest is alcohol-induced hallucinations. (You know what i'm talking about).

Because Scientists make claims based on FACTS while anyone who believes in the bible makes claims based on faith.

Maybe because nature itself disagrees with the Bible?
At least the literal view of the biblical creation myths.

because since they can't teach bible issues and topics in schools, there needs to be an alternative to teach and that's where science comes in. science has great use in many ways but in somethings that are bible related, this gives people a chance to decide for themselves what they want to believe.
