I am a United States Army soldier and am fighting in Iraq at present. I disagree with this war, but have no choice, else I be thrown in the brigs.

I believe that I can escape the Iraq war, the bloodshed is to much to bear, the carnage to great.

If I can escape and make it to Dutch territory, what is the possibility that the Netherlands government will accept me as a citizen without naturalisation papers.

I fear that if this cannot be accomplished, my life shall cease due to my own country's tyranny, and also the lives of my comrads, as we are under constant attack from all sides.

No they won't accept you honest. They might had you over to the American embassy there, and you could be court martial there, or flowing home to the states from Amsterdam. Not American here. But I see loads are heading to Canada to avoid the war in Iraq. Or try a neutral country like Switzerland or Ireland. Which wouldn't had you back to the US military. And would let you stay on compassion grounds
