I think $10 would be appropriate. If you tip more and you find yourself going back to this stylist, she is going to expect it all the time. This way, it's not a huge amount, but it is a generous amount and it's still way under what you would pay anywhere else with the tip included.

I'm a male and I don't have that kind of a problem, but I'm married and my wife does. If you used to pay 60-70 and probably you used to tip what? 10? 5? Now, you have a cheaper lady that does a fair job. I would tip her 5 or 6, to make your saving a real saving and still being fairly decent in your tipping. Sometimes a small present is nicer than a tip (specially if she is Latin American (trust me I am Lat)). That way, she'll even give you a bigger discount. Try it it might work, and if it doesn't, your not going to look bad in the trying, but you gotta have "touch".

The usual tip is the same as at a restaurant, which is 15-20%. Since this lady is charging much less, if she does a really good job you might want to tip her based on 15-20% of the full cost somewhere else.

I think $10 would be good form. You know how you are supposed to tip at a restaurant by doubling the tip? If my hairstylist is good to me and really considers what I want, I make sure to do that for her- I take 10% of the cost and double it for a tip (almost equal to tipping at a restaurant).

Well, normally the polite tip is 15%
So about $6.75
Or just round it off to 5, 7, or 10

I would suggest giving her $60 total. Especially if you are happy with the outcome, if you arent all that blown away, I'd say give her a $5 tip. It all depends on you and what you are comfortable with paying......I always tip according to service (and what my wallet allows).
