Some people say that we shouldn't refer to Ahadith because 'they have been played around with'. What do I say to those people??? I mean, I agree that ahadith shoud be referred to but there are people who stubbornly refuse to look at hadiths. What do I tell those people???

Well, in my opinion an independent mind and a sense of right and wrong ought to be enough. But I guess that if you really want it in bok form, the fact that the Qur'an itself repeatedly says that it should be enough ought to mean something. I don't know a single Muslim who has ever bothered to read more than a few Hadiths.

As a muslim speaking, God said in the Qura'n that we should follow God and the prophet. The Book of Hadiths is a compilation of the things that the Prophet (PBUH) said or did in his life, nothing he said or did contradicts the Qur'an, in one of his words, the prophet emphasised the importance of taking "Hadith" into consideration.

To sum it up, "Al-Hadith" is a major part of islam, it clearifies the Qura'n and gives details of things mentioned in general in the Qura'n, for example , Al-hadith teaches the way of prayer which the the very base of Islam!

maybe you could say what ahadiths are

but a better question is ... why isnt the Bibile recommended, even Jesus frequently refered to it and Mohammed claimed that the Bible supported the Koran in the 7thh century

God's word is tested to be truth by God's word.. if its not reject it

I think the Muslims or any other people for that matter should be able to have all the references they want.

I agree, the Quran is the ultimate authority for Muslims as it is the word of God, but notice that the Quran actually states explicitly that Muslims must follow the Hadith...

004.059
YUSUFALI: O ye who believe! Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger, and those charged with authority among you. If ye differ in anything among yourselves, refer it to Allah and His Messenger, if ye do believe in Allah and the Last Day: That is best, and most suitable for final determination.

004.080
YUSUFALI: He who obeys the Messenger, obeys Allah: But if any turn away, We have not sent thee to watch over their (evil deeds).

033.021
YUSUFALI: Ye have indeed in the Messenger of Allah a beautiful pattern (of conduct) for any one whose hope is in Allah and the Final Day, and who engages much in the Praise of Allah.

004.079
YUSUFALI: Whatever good, (O man!) happens to thee, is from Allah; but whatever evil happens to thee, is from thy (own) soul. and We have sent thee as a messenger to (instruct) mankind. And enough is Allah for a witness.

These verses from the Quran that make it very clear that Muslims must, in addition to following what is in the Quran, which is obviously the supreme authority, try to follow what the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said, as he was sent by God as an example of what we should be like as Muslims. Obviously what's in the Quran is fard, whereas the Hadith is Sunnah, generally, but to reject the validity and importance of the Hadith is to reject portions of the Quran, which the Quran makes supremely clear in the verses above.

That's why we have to follow both!

Muslims should refer to the book of "Stop blowing people up, cause you are not going to heaven".
