I was aware that there wasn't as many as there were previously.

Each time the Census has been taken the last several years, despite their tactics to appear on top, it is obvious that Christianity and Catholicsim is on the Decline. Why?

Because people are learning. They are seeing the injustices in the past, and the Church as actually owning up to it's past- after all these centuries, and two millenia. And as such, people can no lnger trust the church, or even pretend to, like before.

Also, it is no longer illegal to be of one of the many other Faith Systems out there in many countries, anymore. While there is still persecution, it's not as bad as it was... no matter how it seems.

Yes, there is currently a Holy War between Muslims and the rest of the owrld right now... but that is due to the Radical Actions of a few, and not to the Entriety of Muslims. However, it only took a few to make them all 'Bad' in peoples eyes- people who haven't any ideas about the Qu'ran outside of it being their Holy Book. I can see something very close to the Holocaust happening in the near future....as sad as it is.

Hopefully, we can all get a better education on what a real Muslim is, before this happens. Everyone should be free to believe as they want- so long as they don't harm anyone for it.

Dear Brianna,

I do not know when or where that number came from, but I do not believe it is accurate. First of all, amny people say that they are saved (Christian) but the Bible tells us in Matthew 7:21-23 that they were never born from above (John 3). I am sure you can understand this. Those men who flew the jets into the World Trade Center said they were pilots and even looked like airline pilots. But they had no concern for the safety and well being of their passengers. That M.D. that sexually molested and raped his female patients under anesthesia said he was a doctor. In fact he had an M.D. license but he had no concern for the lives of those he treated! And I can give you many other examples.
The point is that just because a person says he is a "christian" does not make him/her a christian. Just because a person carries a Bible and goes to church or has been baptized in water does not make them a christian. Only God knows the hearts of people, we only see the outside appearance.
Only God can save a person and give them a new resurrected soul. It is a miracle in itself that only God can do! And the Lord has said, "For many are called, but few are chosen." The Lord never intended to save everyone on the face of the earth.

Actually there are 1 billion Catholics and other Christians would count separately bringing the total higher. Catholics are Christians and anyone who believes would count, not just those with church memberships.

Christianity and Islam are running neck and neck, but Christianity has the upper hand - so far.

There are 300 million Orthodox Christians mainly in Russia.

So? If one believes that Jesus is God, which He is, and that one can only be saved from their own sins and the consequence of hell they've given themself by asking for His forgiveness and mercy, and turning their ways to obedience to Him, then all of those folks are the same, no matter what label you give them.

Jesus said there many who will say "Lord Lord" but He will say "I never knew you". I doubt there are a billion devoted Christians in the world. lotsa people have their own reason for being wolves in sheeps clothes.
