That Chicago style stuffed pizza isn't pizza -- it's more like pepperoni (or spinach) casserole. And Chicago thin-crust? Don't even get me started. They cut it in squares!
Hands down, no question, it's gotta be New York style.

I like Chicago pizza because you can buy it in the airport and bring it home. NY pizza is great in Manhattan, of course you might get yelled at by the pizza guy. But Chicago is easier to travel with and will be fresher when you get home.

NY. I hate Chicago. It's too thick. I like to hold the pizza not use a knife and fork. I have both in both places and I say NY all the way.

I've never had pizza in New York. I've had deep-dish pizza in Chicago, and it was good, but very different from my idea of pizza. The layer of cheese was about two inches thick. I didn't think it even had pepperonis, until I found some under the cheese. I couldn't taste them what with all the cheese. Then I ate one plain, and it tasted more like salami than pepperoni. Weird!

I love BOTH... I have never been able to make my mind about it, I love the deep dish pizza it's so hearty and when it cooks all the flavors really melt together. Then when I go to NYC I love the thin crust, crispy edge and everything about the environment where I get my pizza at.
So I really enjoy visiting both cities and having pizza is a must when I do.

Chicago may have the the worlds greatest footbal team (one day this will be true again mark my words) but NYC has the best pizza in the world.

Chicago!!! Just moved here and been trying to get to every pizza place we can. Love Gino's East and Nancy's and Lou Malnati's Lou pizza. Pizza in general is just about the perfect food anyway.
