There are many different kinds of love.. First love, lust, etc... But I have been in love 4 times. Once with my first boyfriend (first love)of three years, then with another boyfriend (friendship love) of a year.. Then with a jerk... and I still dont know why I loved him but I got out. Sometimes you don't know why, you just do.
There is also unconditional love that parents have for children..and vice versa.
Now, I am in lasting head-over-heels love with the man I am going to marry who I want to be the father of my children and spend the rest of my life with. I know why I love him.. Its real.
SO the answer (after my babbling) is you can be in love more than once. It just depends on what kind of love it is that it will or won't last.

I have been in love twice. Once when I was a teenager and now. I still think of my first love and it has been ten years since we have seen or spoken to one another. We always said we would be together no matter what the cost.

Back in 1966, coming back from Nam, I saw this young girl. It was love at first sight! Two months later we were married. Evebody was against it. We, are going toward 40 years God gaves us 6 kids. Lost 2, One to Leukemia, The 20 year old son took his life, because his wife left him! We have 14 grandchildren!

I am not sure "fell" is the correct term, stumbled might be better, but even better is grew. Best I can tell it was once with my wife, and once with each of my four kids. Everyone else are just great friends.

One time, 32 years ago. We did not live together, just dated. Now I have been married to this same wonderful lady for 30 years. She was 17 when we got married. Me, 22.
