using an iron will NOT burn your hair....my hair is really curly...and that is the only thing that works for me. I have tried a chi($150 hair straightener) but it takes hours to do my hair. After a wash...blow dry it straight downward and after that lay on the floor and comb your hair outward or to the side and use an iron on both sides. It takes about 5 minutes or so or go to the salon and ask for a straightener that conditions. They usually last 3 to 6 months depending on how you take care of it.

If you have crazy thick curly (I'm Chicana)hair like mine try this... At night wash your hair and put it in a tight braid or a pony tail with a elastic about every inch. Wear your hair to work like that the next day. That night or the next day take your hair down and use a ceramic flat iron (chi iron). Hopefully if you don't have an oily scalp you can get another couple of days out of it. It's time consuming so I do this one in a blue moon when I'm over my crazy mane of hair.

Works like a charm.

When your hair is wet, spray on something called "clazysleek Hot Smooth Flat Iron & Blow Dry Lotion" by got2b. Blow dry it with a blow dryer and brush with a flat paddle brush.
Good luck =)

I don't know much about this method, but I think it's Chinese relaxing methond. My aunt had it done on her very frizzy, puffy, coarse hair. She paid about $400 for it, but it straightened her hair like never before. It lasts about 5-6 months, so it is pretty expensive, but it works. Ask your hair stylist about it.

hmm i think using an iron is a retarded idea... it'll burn your hair, and it's too awkard to use... if u have really curly hair u'd have to use a straightener
