Since you have time before Halloween then slowly introduce her to the clothing. Keep of headgear until she is ready.. Cats are sensitive to almost anything. (Notice why they always clean themselves) What you can do is take a string and some felt and put it on her. Like a large sattle. Try that for a week then put on her costume. She shouldn't care much about her costume then.

No self respecting cat would want to wear a Halloween costume.
As for being cute well sorry I disagree would like to wear a cute little pointy hat a dress and slippers even a self respecting witch would not want to look like a joke.

Now from my point of veiw, I think that is just mean to the kittie!
Why put your cat though that! If you love him, you would return the costume to the store, and let the cat live on. And Besides who is gonna see the cat on Halloween, anyway!

Note: please don't let your cat see the computer screen while you're reading the rest of this answer. I don't want a hit squad of cats with teeny, tiny AK-47's showing up on my doorstep tomorrow.
If you insist on embarassing your cat by making her wear a costume, you might want to consult a professional photographer who specializes in taking animal pictures. They deal with uncooperative animals all the time, and they might have some suggestions that would help.
Good luck, Jim. This message will self-destruct in 10 seconds.

You can't.
She knows she doesn't need a Halloween costume.
Cats are to Halloween like bunnies are to Easter or reindeer are to Christmas. She doesn't need a costume because her regular day-to-day look IS her Halloween costume!
However, you may find that when October rolls around she might ask you to paint her black...

Don't put slippers on a cat! They hate having anything covering their paw pads... as soon as it's on, they're going to take it off... your kitten may look cute in it all, but seriously buy a doll if u want to dress something up!

Make sure there aren't any boy kitties around? Lol.
Sorry, I had to do it.
There's really no way to keep her from taking it off, short of doing what's already been suggested; drugging her or stapling the outfit to her body. I wouldn't suggest either.
Just imagine being able to run around all day totally naked with no inhibitions whatsoever.....you wouldn't want to put clothes on, either!:)

She actually may not be comfortable in it. Are there small random scratchy cloth bits inside? Some cats actually feel cornered, almost locked up in a small space, when in clothing. If it hurts her, or disturbs her, I'd suggest not making her wear it any longer. You can just make a Halloween collar for her, it'd be nice for the spirit, and wouldn't make her feel so caught.

Stop forcing your cat to wear stupid costumes. How would you like it if some creature 100 times your size that spoke a language you didn't understand, tried to make you wear a Halloween Costume?
