Certain Jews conspired against Jesus. In Roman times Jews did not have the power to impose the death penalty on anyone. Therefore they brought Jesus before the Roman authorities and accused him of many things including subversion.

Pontius Pilate did not find any fault with Jesus, but was intimidated by the Jews when they shouted, "If you do not crucify this man, you are no friend of Caesar..." Pilate ordered water brought to him and he 'publicly washed his hands of the death of an innocent man.'

The Jews who conspired against Jesus then proclaimed, "It shall fall on our heads, and our children's heads..." And so Jesus was crucified.

Now you asked, "Why was he crucified?" Jesus was crucified because that was the way Romans executed people charged with the death penalty in those days.

To 'get back at the Jews' Pontius Pilate ordered that a sign be hung over the Cross of Christ which read in Latin, Hebrew and Greek: "Jesus the Nazarene King of the Jews." Those same Jews protested, demanding that Pilate write instead: "He said that He was King." I have always loved Pilate's response to this demand: "What I have written, IS written!"

If by "keep relations with those who were responsible" you mean the Jews? Let us remember and never forget that it is wrong to collectively blame the Jews for the crimes of a few.

Yes, we should maintain the best possible relations with our Jewish brothers and sisters. True Christians are Judeo-Christian, for our roots remain in the Judaic Faith. Remember, Jesus was a Jew!

Yes, I believe that Jesus was crucified and ultimately we're all responsible. He died for the sins of the world. Do you know anyone who has never done anything wrong?

As a follower of Jesus Christ, I believe that he wants us to love and have compassion on everyone. Even as he hung on the cross, he asked God to forgive those who crucified him. I can't believe that He'd want us do any thing less than keep striving toward loving relationships with everyone we come into contact with.

You can obviously choose what you want to believe. If you wish to believe the Bible, it was the sins of the world that condemned Jesus to death. Yours, mine, everyone's.
Following that line of reasoning- which is the real central idea of Christianity- means that we are all responsible. And we are commanded to love one another.
If you prefer a historical spin rather than a religious one, the Romans killed Jesus, but the ones who did it are all dead now.
Third in line is the Jews of the time- also long dead now- who delivered Jesus into the hands of the Romans.
Next would be Judas the betrayer, then Peter the denyer.
Choose wisely. To help: Christians are encouraged not to hate.

Jesus' crucifixion was part of God's plan which is why Jesus knew he was going to die. Just as the parting of the Red Sea and the 10 plagues were designed to send a message to the people, so was Jesus' death planned to change the world.

As to the human's that were involved in the process, they were acting under the influence of either God or Satan (depending upon your beliefs) but clearly were puppets in the plan. Besides, they have all been dead for 2000 years so there is no one alive left to blame.

Remember the bible also says not to "visit the sins of the father onto the son."

Or do you pay for all your parent's debts and sins?

Jesus was crucified to atone for all our sins, so in a sense we are all "responsible". Jesus came and was crucified because we needed a Savior to give us the opportunity to have a relationship with God. This is the reason for His death on the cross. The manner in which Jesus was brought to the cross was only incidental.

In the Bible it says that the Jewish authorities are the ones that pressed the Romans (Pontius Pilate) to crucify Jesus. They considered Him to be a blasphemer (for identifying Himself as the Messiah/Son of God) and were probably also angry because He was distracting attention away from their own causes. The Jewish authorities placed emphasis on works, but didn't grasp the fact that you have to have your mind and spirit right with God as well. Your attitude towards God and desire to be right with Him is what counts and they didn't understand that. They saw that popularity and power and attention were being taken away from them and didn't like it. As Jesus told them, they looked good and pious on the outside, but inside they were full of sin.

The people who actually crucified Jesus are all dead. God is already dealing with them.

In truth, every human who commits a sin is responsible for Jesus' crucifixion.

How does one cut off relations with ones' self?

The notion that Jesus was crucified is all crap! Stop blaming Jews and Romans for offence not committed. What sort of helpless (do you say, Almighty) God would be molested and killed by miscreants he was supposed to be their Creator. Sounds incredulous! Christians should wake up to the reality that God is supreme and can not be subjected to human frailties.

It was not one race or one people who killed Christ. We all did. How? SIN that's right SIN. He died by choice. There was no other way for God to save humanity then by a blood sacrifice. He sacrificed Christ the only perfect sinless human to ever live so that Christ would become sin, die putting sin to death and making a way for us to be set free from sin and the results of sin wich is death. Christian or not, Bible believer or not doesn't matter that's the absolute TRUTH. Believe it now and be saved or find out the HARD way. I pray none choose the HARD way choose the right way believe that Jesus died and rose again for your sins, Repent, accept him as LORD and Savior, accept his forgiveness, read the WORD, pray and live according to His commands. No you don't have to be perfect but being a follower of Christ is a perfecting process. You leave the old sinful ways behind and actually live a more successful, spiritually enriched, loving life. I dare you to try it.

Jesus was crucified to clear our sins and he did it for love. But the Jews and the Romans are to blame for his dead. The jews turn him in and the Romans crucified him.

It was God's mercy and love for us that allowed Jesus to be crucified, or we more than likely would not be here answering this question
