She doesn't regard you as being dominant. You're going to have to get that under control, or things will only get worse.

Do you tend to baby her and shy from any punishment? Does your husband do the majority of the punishing? If so, she seems him as being dominant, and is probably viewing you as simply another littermate. Remember, don't treat a dog like a person because they're NOT people. They operate under a much different set of rules than we do. Don't show her affection until she's done what she's supposed to do, and don't feel bad about it. Dogs are more secure when they know their place and yours.

Do you ever watch The Dog Whisperer? If not, give it a go....you'll learn a lot.

my pups do not leave the house without a leash might try that for a little while hook her up before u open the door dollar stores carry leashes that pull out like tape measure and they work great cause they can run but u have control of how far
well we just got puppies they are only 12 weeks old and the are already house broke and learning to sit fetch and one is learning to say wutwhoe and momma treats dogie treats you also have to have patience lots if it is an older dog but u can teach any dog young or old new things just find a treat that it really loves and it will help if it does not do what u want don't treat it but when possible such as sit put dog in sit pose and say sit good dog and treat him/her make the treats small like beggin strips break up into smaller pieces hope this helps

She has established your husband as the dominant one but not you. First of all you need to be careful letting her out off-leash - if she doesn't listen to you and your husband's not around, she could get hit by a car or never come back. Ask your husband if you could be the one to dicipline her if you are both around. This will help her know that you are also boss. Another thing we did was that I took her through training, not my husband. Our dog already knew he was boss - now she knows I am, too. Also, try not to give in on things that your husband won't allow - like letting her on furniture, giving her treats, etc. Then she'll think you're the pushover.

Good luck!

Have you even THOUGHT about training the dog? I don't listen to people I have no respect for either. TRAIN HER with a professional at classes; let her know that there will be corrections administered to her, by you, if she disobeys you.

Good luck. I don't think you will have any success, but I really hope you get some clue about dogs and how to handle them.

Do you engage in training her or is it mostly your husband.

Our new dog is definately more willing to accept my leadership because I'm mainly the one that's trained him. He hasn't yet generalized to realise that a command of "sit" means the same thing coming out of my husband's mouth as it does coming out of my mouth. Dogs definately aren't good at making logical leaps like this.

Work on training the puppy yourself, without him around.

Dogs see one person in the household as the alpha dog and everyone else as just a packmate. You are obviously a packmate. I would also recommend you taking her to obedience classes.

Dog obedience classes will help you to get your puppy to take you seriously and help you get voice control over your dog
