Some people posted questions on Firefighters marching in gay parades. Can someone explain what this is all about?

It was in Scotland:

The Roman Catholic Archbishop of Glasgow, Mario Conti, today gave his backing to nine firefighters who were disciplined for refusing to distribute fire safety leaflets at a gay pride event.
He said the decision to discipline the officers, from the city's Cowcaddens fire station, and make them undergo diversity training was "dismaying".

Some of the men had argued that turning up in uniform at the Pride Scotia festival in Glasgow on June 24 would have been embarrassing. Others said it would have conflicted with their moral beliefs.

Perhaps the story you mean is the recent coverage of firefighters refusing to hand out leaflets and assist with public safety during a recent Gay Pride march. There were no reasons given for their behaviour and a couple of them were busted down a few ranks for failing to carry out their duties. No doubt there is a lot mor to it than was in the press, but at face value it is not the best way for such an important service to be seen.

Its about the most crackers thing ive heard in my life. They are firefighters who put out fires for a living. They have the right to be gay or not. But there not allowed the right to not get involved in handing out leaflets at a gay right march.
