i'm getting a little sick and tired of all the people on this religiouse section typing God without the O (G-d) it's driving me crazy, do they not know that it's OK to type GOD on here, we see it every day, it's not going to offend anyone, if it does they can leave Y!A they dont have to stay and look at it,does this bother anyone else?

Some people beleive its not religiously correct to display the name, especially the Jewish

It has nothing to do with offending the people on this forum.
If you see G-d being written this way it is because more than likely it is being written by someone of the Jewish faith.
Once his/her name is written in full it is considered a sacred document and must be preserved in a particular manner, that is why you see it written the way you do.
So, please get a life and fret over something like how the people in Africa are straving.
Now that you know that you aware of why, maybe the next question you ask you may want to do a little research or rephrase your question?

The people who do this are most likely Jews. They believe that to even type "God" is blasphemy. This is the same reason why they condensed His personal name into the tetragrammaton: YHWH.
God's Word teaches us we are not to quibble about small matters such as this. Hold your tongue about this slight thing and concentrate on answering/asking questions of value.

Those people think that they would give reverence to God by not spelling His common name known to all mankind. If you want to really fear God and respect Him, do His will and show love to all mankind. This is more acceptable way to honor Him and give respect to his entity.

Jewish people will never type out God. They find it to be offensive to God. It would be rude to suggest that they shouldn't do this.

I am a atheist and it doesnt bother me one way or the other. Is there a reason it bothering you so much? There are hotlines for people like you.

I don't find it particularly bothersome. What annoys me more is that people tend to ignore such basic grammatical notions as captilization of initial letters of sentences.
