not a tax at all

Well, tithing is a "tax" only in some Islamic countries (the very strict ones, such as Saudi Arabia). See the link below for an explanation of "zakat', which is the amount of money that every adult, mentally stable, free, and financially able Muslim, male and female, has to pay to support specific categories of people.

Tithing was always meant to maintain house of worship and to maintain equality among people. It's not the amount but the percent given. If one earns more, one is to give more, but only 10 %. If one earns less, then one is allowed to give less, but 10%. If one is needy, then one can tithe by service.

Tithing is giving God back 10% of what he already gave you. It's in the old testament in Malachi 3:
8Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.

9Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.

10Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

11And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.

12And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delight some land, saith the LORD of hosts.

Tithing is not a tax at all it is giving a tenth of your gross income to charity or church, because you believe you acknowledge who created heaven and earth and has been in practice since the beginning of time according to Bible Studies

No, tithing is not a tax at all. With taxes, you don't have a choice as to whether you pay them or not. With tithing, you do have the choice as to whether you do it or not.

How do you think missionaries get the money to go do thier work in other countries? Tithing. How do you think priests and pastors get thier salary? Tithing. Do you really think they would all tell us the good word for nothing?

It is unnecessary.
It is not a Christian practice.
Have a peak at 2 Corinthians 9:7.
No tithe, just .....what we can do.

Take a good look at what kind of car your pastor is driving. I stopped giving my money when mine rolled up to service in a new Cadilac. If you are going to give your money to a cause, make sure you are active in deciding how it is used. It's easy to eat the whole pie when nobody is watching you.

If you mean that it's a tax on stupidity, or a tax that only applies to stupid people, I'd have to say "no".....it's really more of a "naivety tax" or a "failure to think things through" penalty....
