The best ways to show respect is silence whether they disregard or not. Listening is difficult and if you know they will disregard, you are perhaps wasting your breath. However, words have power and the person may remember your words later and act upon them so you have to go with what your heart tells you to do. There is no standard rule.

Sometime in our office or at home or in any place we have to show respect to our superiors.It is unavoidable.Even if u don"t want to respect them u have to give respect to their posts, uniforms or relationships.

biblically if this someone is in authority over you you give this person respect no matter how you feel towards them. (boss,parent,police,judge etc...)if not than you owe them nothing but a kind word when the time comes.set your boundries

hey, i've got this problem to. i'm just polite to him. not overly nice but not rude. it's hard, but that way you aren't aggravating anything and you aren't doing anything wrong to haunt you later down the road.

just walk away...they don't deserve ur attention....
ignore them...
people like this r usually very unhappy, jealous and need someone to blame for their mistakes...
If they are good people who can change then help them otherwise its best to walk away....
