Jaan...it is an expression..what does it mean?
My friend is from Asia..Bangladesh...we refer to each other as Jaan....it may be spelled JA'AN...not sure about the accent mark...but he thinks it may be a expression of feelings like Darling or SweetHeart or mean somethings like I care about you or feelings of affection...maybe...
Does any one know what this may mean...if not...what do you thinks it may mean...
It came from somewhere....Bangladesh is an Asian country I am assuming...so maybe that word is Asian....Thank You Soo much and have a Nice Day....

the word 'jaan' actually means - life. so when someone calls you 'jaan' or their 'jaan' - they mean you're their life - they mean they care for you and love you. jaan usually means darling or sweetheart and is referred to one's near and dear ones.

No, even when people yawn I don't. I like to play a game with my friends where someone will yawn and we saw who yawns first. I never usually win unless I'm sick with a cold because I get so tired it's as if I stayed up a whole week with a wink of sleep.

i am indian and can tell you what this might mean. Jaan means did you understand in Gujrati, my language. Gujrati and Bangladeshi are similar.
