Check out the 69th Regiment Armory. there use to be a restaurant upstairs that always cracked us up. Older women in bee hive hairdoos served you and they offered up good ole' american food. If the restaurant is still open, it would be a fantastic place or Thanksgiving...

Foley's Fishhouse in Times Square in the Rennissance Hotel. Wonderful view and great food...!

Try one of the Morton's steakhouses.
"i Trulli" is also very good and not too much $$
